Jeevaraksha Foundation Pioneers India’s First Ayurveda Emergency Care and Life Support Training Program

The Jeevaraksha Foundation recently concluded a landmark four day intensive training program titled Ayurveda Emergency Care and Life Support from September 28 to October 1 2026. Held at the Jeevaraksha Office in Basavanagudi Bengaluru this inaugural session represented a historic milestone as the first emergency care and life support program specifically designed for Ayurveda faculties in India. The initiative reflects a growing commitment to integrating critical emergency medical skills with traditional healthcare disciplines to enhance patient safety and clinical outcomes.

Throughout the duration of the program participants from various states across the nation engaged in a comprehensive curriculum that balanced theoretical knowledge with intensive hands on skill sessions. The training was designed to equip Ayurveda practitioners with the necessary competencies to manage life threatening situations effectively. The feedback from the attendees highlighted not only the educational value of the course but also the collaborative environment that fostered professional growth and cross disciplinary understanding.

The program was graced by several distinguished medical professionals and academic leaders. Dr Balachander an anesthetist & the founder of the Jeevaraksha Foundation and Dr Haripriya an esteemed anesthetist and Director of Jeevaraksha provided critical leadership and vision for the event. They were joined by Dr Vijabhaskar Reddy an Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine and Dr Pallavi who contributed their clinical expertise to the training modules. The presence of these experts ensured that the training met international standards for emergency medical education.

Instructional excellence was a cornerstone of the workshop with a team of high profile educators leading the sessions. The instructor panel included Dr Suma MP Professor of Anatomy from BGSMCH and Dr Anand Professor and Head of Forensic Medicine from BLD Belgavi. Additionally Dr Suma HP and Dr Vanajaksi both Professors of Physiology from Ballari Medical College played pivotal roles in delivering the technical aspects of the curriculum. Their involvement underscored the importance of foundational medical sciences in practicing effective emergency care.

As the first of its kind in India this program sets a significant precedent for the future of Ayurveda education and professional development. By bridging the gap between traditional medicine and modern emergency protocols the Jeevaraksha Foundation continues to lead the way in health advocacy and education. The successful completion of this workshop marks a new chapter in enhancing the versatility and preparedness of Ayurveda faculties nationwide ensuring they are well equipped to serve in diverse medical settings.
