The outreach initiative aimed to promote proactive health-seeking behavior among the public and facilitate early detection of common and chronic health conditions. The event was conducted under the guidance of Dr. K. S. Gangadhara, Dean cum Principal, BGSMCH, and Mr. Shashidhara, Assistant Administrator, whose leadership and support ensured the successful execution of the outreach activity.
Event Proceedings
A team of healthcare professionals from BGSMCH conducted comprehensive general health check-ups for the participants. The screening included assessment of vital parameters such as blood pressure, blood glucose levels, and pulse rate. These evaluations played a crucial role in the early identification of lifestyle-related disorders such as hypertension and diabetes.
On-site medical consultations were provided based on the screening results, and participants were counselled regarding necessary lifestyle modifications, preventive measures, and treatment options. The medical team also ensured appropriate guidance for individuals requiring further evaluation.
A key highlight of the program was the active involvement of the Blood Bank department, which organized a voluntary blood donation drive. Community members participated enthusiastically, contributing to the strengthening of the regional blood supply system and supporting emergency healthcare services.
