Introduction
The Department of Clinical Pharmacology and the Chief of Hospital Office, BGS Medical College and Hospital (BGSMCH), Nagaruru, Bangalore, jointly organized the International Nurses Day Celebration 2026 on 12 May 2026 (Tuesday) from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Lecture Hall 1. The event was conducted to recognize and appreciate the dedicated service, compassion, and commitment of the nursing fraternity in delivering quality healthcare services.
The celebration was held with the divine blessings of Sri Sri Sri Dr. Balagangadharanatha Mahaswamiji and Sri Sri Sri Dr. Nirmalanandanatha Mahaswamiji, marking a solemn and respectful beginning to the program.
Event Proceedings
The program commenced with a warm welcome address delivered by Dr. Pradeep Kumar N, Resident Medical Officer, who greeted the dignitaries, faculty members, nursing staff, students, and other attendees.
The formal inauguration was marked by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by all dignitaries, symbolizing knowledge, care, and service. The dignitaries present on the occasion included Dr. K S Gangadhara, Dean cum Principal, Dr. Krishnamurthy V R, Chief of Hospital, Dr. Pradeep Kumar N, Resident Medical Officer, Dr. Suresh Kankanawadi, Department of Clinical Pharmacology, and Mrs. Vita Leena Dsouza, Vice Principal, Nursing College.
