Inaugurations of Canara Bank BGS MCH Branch, BGS Sports Arena, Lecture Theatre and BGS MCH Clinic at Nagaruru, Nelamangala
At BGS Medical College and Hospital, Nagarur on 17th April 2025 marked a momentous day of transformation with four key inaugurations – each reinforcing our unwavering commitment to excellence, wellness, and holistic education. The day began with the inauguration of the Canara Bank branch on our campus by His Holiness Sri Sri Sri Dr. Nirmalanandanatha Mahaswamiji** and former Deputy Chief Minister Dr. C.N. Ashwath Narayan. This new facility enhances financial access and convenience for students, faculty, and staff. A ceremonial lamp lighting and pooja followed, invoking blessings for prosperity and progress. Mahaswamiji toured the facility, offering his divine blessings. Next, the vibrant BGS Sports Arena came alive with energy as it was inaugurated by Mahaswamiji and Dr. Ashwath Narayan. The event promoted fitness and discipline. Mahaswamiji and Dr. Narayan joined students for a friendly basketball game, while Mr. Ramachandra energized the newly opened tennis court, highlighting the balance between physical health and academic life. The day’s crowning moment was the unveiling of the state-of-the-art 300-seater Digital Lecture Theatre —a leap into the future of medical education. Following the sacred rituals, a video presentation prepared by the Digital Health and AI Centre was showcased, illustrating the elegance and innovation of this modern learning space. Dr. Ashwath Narayan inspired the audience with his address, encouraging faculty and students to aim for excellence. Principal-cum-Dean Dr. Gangadhara emphasized the remarkable transformation the institution has undergone in a short span, while Chief Architect Mr. Ravichandra explained the architectural brilliance behind the new infrastructure and shared exciting upcoming developments. Mr. Ramachandra and Mr. Mahesh Pie, General Manager, Canara Bank, discussed the meticulous planning involved in setting up the on-campus branch and urged everyone to make full use of the services. The gathering was introduced to Miss Anita, Manager of the newly opened BGSMCH Urban Campus Nagarur Branch, while Mr. Krishna Chaitanya Reddy, Assistant General Manager and Regional Head, Canara Bank, graced the occasion. His Holiness Sri Sri Sri Dr. Nirmalanandanatha Mahaswamiji then addressed the faculty and students, reflecting on the day’s significant milestones. He emphasized the importance of a balanced life—where academics, nutrition, and extracurricular activities go hand in hand in shaping a well-rounded individual. Swamiji also emphasized the significant role played by Adichunchanagiri University in the remarkable growth of BGSMCH . The transformational day concluded with the inauguration of the Satellite Clinic at Nelamangala. Mahaswamiji led the ribbon cutting, performed the pooja, and toured the facility. He encouraged the local community to avail the free healthcare services and distributed sweets as a gesture of care and compassion.
