Samvardhana- Nurturing Growth – Departmental Annual Review with Honorable Chancellor
BGS Medical College and Hospital, Nagarur, under the aegis of Adichunchanagiri University, successfully organized a formal academic and institutional programme titled “Samvardhana – 2026…… Nurturing Growth” on Monday, 12th January 2026, at Lecture Hall 2, commencing at 12:00 PM onwards. The programme marked a significant milestone in the institution’s academic journey and reflected its continued commitment to knowledge dissemination, innovation, and institutional advancement.
The event was conducted under the leadership of Dr. K. S. Gangadhara, Dean cum Principal, and Dr. Krishnamurthy V. R., Chief of Hospital, in the esteemed presence of Dr. S. N. Sridhara, Honourable Vice Chancellor, Adichunchanagiri University, Mr. Ravi Chandra, Chief Architect, and with the gracious blessings of Sri Sri Sri Dr. Nirmalanandanatha Mahaswamiji, Chancellor, Adichunchanagiri University.
Event Proceedings
The programme commenced with Naadageethe and the Invocation Song was rendered by Dr. Nagashree M. V., creating a solemn and auspicious beginning to the event.
The Welcome Address was delivered by Dr. Krishnamurthy V. R., Chief of Hospital, who warmly welcomed the dignitaries, faculty members, and participants, and highlighted the institution’s vision for academic excellence, collaboration, and sustainable growth.
The Lamp Lighting Ceremony, performed by all the dignitaries, symbolized the illumination of knowledge and the collective pursuit of progress.
One of the major highlights of the programme was the Grand Release of:
“BGS MCH Vahini”, the quarterly newsletter of BGS Medical College and Hospital, and
“Root Canal Treatment Demystified”, the first book published under BGS MCH Publications.
An Introductory Note was delivered by Dr. K. S. Gangadhara, Dean cum Principal, emphasizing the academic importance of the publications and the institution’s encouragement of scholarly and research-oriented contributions.
This was followed by presentations by the Heads of Various Departments, who showcased departmental achievements, academic initiatives, and future plans.
An inspiring address was delivered by Dr. S. N. Sridhara, Honourable Vice Chancellor, Adichunchanagiri University, who underscored the importance of research, academic publications, interdisciplinary collaboration, and institutional vision in nurturing growth.
The programme was further enriched by the Aashirvachana of Sri Sri Sri Dr. Nirmalanandanatha Mahaswamiji, whose guidance and blessings served as a source of inspiration and motivation for the continued progress of the institution.
The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks, followed by the National Anthem. The programme was efficiently compered by Dr. Shilpa M, who served as the Master of Ceremony.
