PedAllercon 2026 Convenes Leading Experts in Bengaluru to Address Advancements in Pediatric Allergy and Immunology

The Indian Academy of Pediatrics Pediatric Allergy and Immunology Chapter successfully convened its landmark annual conference, PedAllercon 2026, at the J N Tata Auditorium within the Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru. Held from September 19 to 20, the two day event served as a critical platform for advancing the clinical understanding of pediatric allergic conditions and complex immunological disorders. The symposium gathered a distinguished assembly of international and domestic experts to address the evolving challenges within the field through rigorous academic deliberation and evidence based discourse.

The conference proceedings were marked by a comprehensive scientific program designed to enrich the knowledge base of all attending delegates. Keynote sessions and expert panels explored the intricacies of pediatric healthcare, with a particular emphasis on the intersection of environmental factors and childhood wellness. Among the prominent speakers, Dr H Paramesh, a founder member of the organization, delivered a profound presentation regarding the protection of environmental health for every child, highlighting the necessity of sustainable ecological practices for future generations.

The afternoon sessions provided further clinical depth, covering urgent topics such as acute asthma management, early detection strategies for Allergic Bronchopulmonary Aspergillosis in pediatric patients, and the emerging role of oscillometry as a diagnostic tool beyond traditional spirometry. These sessions, featuring insights from noted specialists such as Dr S S Rawat, Dr Sukumar, and Dr Somu Sivabalan, offered delegates actionable strategies for improving patient outcomes through rapid decision making and advanced diagnostic technologies.

In addition to the senior expert discourse, PedAllercon 2026 prioritized the professional development of the next generation of medical practitioners. Young postgraduates and junior faculty members were given a significant opportunity to showcase their research through competitive paper and poster presentations.
