National AIDS Day Awareness Program at BGS VINS

The Community Health Nursing Department of BGS VINS organized a program to commemorate World AIDS Day on December 1, 2025, with the theme “Overcoming disruption, transforming the AIDS Response”, aiming to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS, promote universal access to prevention and treatment, and support people living with HIV/AIDS. The event’s objectives included raising awareness, encouraging HIV testing, promoting access to prevention and treatment, reducing stigma, and fostering global solidarity to end HIV/AIDS by 2030. The program featured a mime performance, poster presentation, and Mad Ads, highlighting the causes, symptoms, and preventive measures of HIV/AIDS. Esteemed guests included Dr. Krishnamurthy V.R, Dr. Pradeep Kumar, Dr. Raghavendra BN, Dr. Venkatesh P, and Lt. Col Cecily PJ. The event was a success, increasing awareness, promoting empathy, and encouraging HIV testing. It also helped students gain confidence and experience in health education, strengthening faculty-student collaboration. Outcomes included increased awareness, promoted empathy, encouraged HIV testing, and strengthened collaboration.
