Dr. Sahana Devdas from BGS Medical College & Hospital Invited as Resource Faculty for the 12th MITE-PG 2026 at A.J. Institute of Medical Sciences, Mangaluru
Dr. Sahana Devdas, Professor, Department of Pediatrics, BGS Medical College and Hospital, was invited as a resource faculty for the 12th Mangalore Intensive Training for Exams of Postgraduates (MITE-PG 2026) organized by the Department of Pediatrics, A.J. Institute of Medical Sciences, Mangaluru, in association with the IAP DK Branch and IAP Medical Education Chapter. The three-day intensive postgraduate training program was held from July 10 to 12, 2026, bringing together postgraduate students from across the region for comprehensive, examination-oriented academic sessions.
As part of the Day 2 academic schedule, Dr. Sahana Devdas co-facilitated the Newborn Case session with Dr. Leslie S. Lewis. The session focused on the clinical evaluation and management of pediatric and newborn cases, emphasizing evidence-based practices, diagnostic reasoning, and practical approaches relevant to postgraduate training and university examinations.
The session was attended by 140 postgraduate students in Pediatrics, who actively participated in case discussions and interactive learning. The program provided an excellent platform for strengthening clinical knowledge, enhancing examination preparedness, and fostering academic collaboration among pediatric trainees.
