Faculty Development Program on Research at BGSMCH – An Overview at BGS Medical College and Hospital, Nagaruru

Introduction

A Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “Research – An Overview” was organized at BGSMCH on 15th April 2026 at the MEU Hall, with the objective of enhancing research capacity and promoting a culture of scientific inquiry among faculty members. The programme aimed to provide a comprehensive understanding of research fundamentals, methodologies, and practical aspects of conducting and publishing research. A total of 49 faculty members from various departments actively participated in the programme, reflecting strong institutional interest in academic advancement and evidence-based practice.

The programme commenced with a formal inaugural session, where the importance of research in medical education and healthcare delivery was emphasized. The sessions were designed to cater to faculty with varying levels of research experience.
