AETCOM Student Activities at BGS Medical College & Hospital

The Department of Pharmacology recently hosted a Poster Making and Debate Competition on the Principles of Bioethics on January 3, 2026. The event aimed to foster awareness and understanding of bioethics among students.

The competition saw enthusiastic participation from students, showcasing their creativity and critical thinking skills. The posters presented various aspects of bioethics, including autonomy, beneficence, non-maleficence, and justice.

The debate competition brought forth thought-provoking arguments on bioethical dilemmas, with participants demonstrating a keen grasp of the subject matter.

The judge for Poster making event was Dr. Raghuram V, who commended the students’ efforts, highlighting the importance of bioethics in medical research and practice.

Dr. Mohamed Tanveer Ahmed was the judge for Debate Competition on “Health as a right” who appreciated the efforts put forth by the students in researching facts about the topic and presenting it wonderfully. He highlighted importance of health care as a right and the hurdles in achieving it in our country.

The event was a resounding success, with the Department of Pharmacology congratulating all participants and looking forward to future events that promote bioethics awareness.
