BGS Medical College and Hospital, Nagarur, successfully organized a comprehensive Continuing Medical Education programme in collaboration with the Indian Medical Association, Yelahanka branch. The academic gathering took place on August 27, 2026, at the Clarion Hotel in Yelahanka, Bengaluru. This initiative served as a vital platform for medical professionals to engage in rigorous academic learning, facilitate the exchange of clinical knowledge, and foster professional interactions among the local medical community.

The event commenced with a detailed audiovisual presentation highlighting the extensive super-specialty services available at BGS Medical College and Hospital. This showcase was specifically designed to inform the members of the Indian Medical Association about the institutional capabilities, aiming to streamline and improve referral processes for complex medical cases requiring advanced intervention. By providing a clear overview of the hospital infrastructure and expertise, the presentation underscored the institution commitment to collaborative healthcare delivery.

The scientific portion of the evening featured two specialized sessions led by distinguished faculty members. Dr. Sagar H. This was followed by a session led by Dr. Suraj Muralidhar from the Department of Urology and Transplant Surgery. His talk, titled Urology for the Clinician – Common Problems, Red Flags and When to Refer, offered practical guidance on identifying critical urological symptoms and established clear protocols for timely specialist referrals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

The success of the programme was made possible through the leadership and support of several key administrative and medical figures. Notable among them were Dr. Nalina D., President of IMA Yelahanka, and Dr. Kiran Nidagundi, Secretary of IMA Yelahanka. Representing the hospital leadership were Dr. K. S. Gangadhara, Dean-cum-Principal of BGS Medical College and Hospital, and Dr. Krishnamurthy V. R., Chief of Hospital.
