BGS Medical College & Hospital successfully organized the Parent–Teacher Meetings for the First and Second Year MBBS students during May 2026, reaffirming its commitment to fostering effective communication between parents and faculty members while promoting students’ academic excellence, professional growth, and overall well-being.
The First Year MBBS Parent–Teacher Meeting was conducted on 04 and 05 May 2026 in a hybrid mode, enabling parents to participate through both offline sessions at the MEU Hall and online platforms. The meeting involved the Departments of Anatomy, Biochemistry, and Physiology, where faculty members provided comprehensive feedback on students’ academic performance, attendance, internal assessment results, learning progress, discipline, and overall development. The hybrid format ensured greater accessibility and encouraged active participation from parents.
The Second Year MBBS Parent–Teacher Meeting was held on 21 and 22 May 2026 for the Departments of Microbiology, Pathology, and Pharmacology. To provide individualized academic guidance, parents of slow learners attended the meeting in offline mode, facilitating detailed one-to-one interactions with faculty members regarding learning challenges, academic performance, and personalized improvement strategies. Parents of the remaining students participated online, ensuring effective communication and broader participation.
The Parent–Teacher Meetings provided a valuable platform for meaningful interaction between parents, faculty members, and mentors. Faculty members discussed students’ strengths, areas requiring improvement, attendance, academic progress, and professional conduct while addressing parents’ queries and offering guidance to enhance student learning outcomes. The collaborative discussions emphasized the shared responsibility of the institution and parents in nurturing competent, responsible, and compassionate future medical professionals.
The successful conduct of the programme was made possible through the coordinated efforts of the Departments of Anatomy, Biochemistry, Physiology, Microbiology, Pathology, and Pharmacology. The Digital Health & AI Centre provided technical support for the online sessions, ensuring seamless virtual connectivity and effective participation of parents attending remotely.
BGS Medical College & Hospital extends its sincere appreciation to all faculty members, parents, mentors, technical staff, and students for their enthusiastic participation and wholehearted cooperation, which contributed significantly to the success of the programme.
