Mastering Gynecologic Pathology From Basics to Breakthroughs at BGS Medical College and Hospital, Nagarur
Introduction
The Department of Pathology, BGS Medical College & Hospital, Nagarur, commemorated National Pathology Day on 13th April 2026 by organizing a Continuing Medical Education (CME) program titled “Mastering Gynecologic Pathology: From Basics to Breakthroughs.” The program witnessed participation from approximately 190 postgraduate students, consultants in Pathology and Obstetrics & Gynaecology, and in-house faculty and staff, along with attendees from various parts of Karnataka.
Event Proceedings
The program commenced with a welcome address by Dr. Murali B. M., Professor and Head, Department of Pathology, who emphasized the significance of National Pathology Day and the vital role of pathology in healthcare.
The inaugural ceremony included the traditional lamp lighting and invocation song. The inaugural address was delivered by Dr. Gangadhara K. S., Dean-cum-Principal, who highlighted the importance of pathology in medical education and advancements in modern diagnostic techniques, including photomicrography.
All invited speakers were felicitated by the Dean, Vice Principal, and Head of the Department in recognition of their valuable contributions.
