Dr. Renuka R Represents the Institution at the 19th World Congress of Anaesthesiologists, Morocco

The World Federation of Societies of Anaesthesiologists successfully convened the nineteenth World Congress of Anaesthesiologists in Marrakech, Morocco, from April 15 to 19, 2026. This prestigious international assembly served as a vital nexus for the global medical community, gathering three thousand seven hundred and five in-person participants representing one hundred and thirty-two different nations. The event further reinforced a collective international commitment to advancing the fields of anaesthesiology and patient care through rigorous scholarly exchange and cross-border collaboration.

The scientific framework of the congress was notably comprehensive, featuring twenty focused tracks that addressed every major domain of anaesthesiology, critical care, and pain medicine. The extensive academic program included one hundred and fifty-six specialized sessions facilitated by a distinguished faculty of three hundred and seven experts hailing from ninety-two countries. This diverse representation ensured a multifaceted exploration of current clinical challenges and emerging innovations in perioperative medicine.

Among the notable scholarly contributions was the research presented by Dr. Renuka R, who represented the institution by showcasing two significant research posters during the proceedings. Her first presentation provided a critical examination of the factors influencing the practice of pediatric central neuraxial blocks in India through a comprehensive survey analysis. This work offered valuable insights into regional clinical practices and the barriers to standardized implementation in pediatric anaesthesia.

Dr. Renuka R also presented a second study involving a detailed comparison of insertion techniques for the Baska Mask. This clinical evaluation specifically compared digital versus pharyngoscopic techniques in adult patients under controlled ventilation. Such contributions underscore the vital role of individual researchers and institutional representatives in shaping international medical guidelines and improving specialized clinical outcomes worldwide. The participation of faculty in such high-level forums continues to elevate the institution’s standing within the global medical and scientific community.
