Community Based Event On Leprosy Day
The Department of Community Medicine and Dermatology, BGS Medical College and Hospital, in collaboration with BGS Vignathan Nursing College, organized a comprehensive Health Education Programme at the Government Diploma College, Abbhigere, with the aim of empowering students with essential health knowledge and encouraging the adoption of healthy lifestyle practices.
The programme featured interactive and informative sessions where important health topics were explained in a clear, simple, and relatable manner, enabling students to understand common health issues and preventive measures effectively. Active student participation, open discussions, and question-and-answer interactions made the sessions engaging and meaningful.
The initiative not only enhanced health awareness among the students but also emphasized the importance of preventive care, personal hygiene, and responsible health behaviors. The programme was well received and successfully reflected BGS Medical College and Hospital’s ongoing commitment to community health promotion, outreach activities, and preventive medicine education.
