World Antimicrobial Resistance Awareness Week 2025 at BGS Medical College and Hospital, Nagarur
Introduction
BGS Medical College & Hospital, Nagarur, observed the World Antimicrobial Resistance Awareness Week (WAAW) 2025 on 24th November 2025 under the global theme “ACT NOW: PROTECT OUR PRESENT, SECURE OUR FUTURE.” The event was organized by the Department of Microbiology in collaboration with the Antimicrobial Stewardship Committee , with the objective of sensitizing healthcare professionals, students, and the public to the urgent need for combating antimicrobial resistance (AMR).
This initiative aligns with SDG 3 – Good Health and Well-being, emphasizing the institution’s commitment to ensuring healthy lives and promoting well-being for all.
Event Proceedings
The program was conducted at the MEU Hall and saw active participation from around 50 attendees, including undergraduate students, faculty members, and staff.
