The Department of Anatomy, BGS Medical College & Hospital, Nagarur, celebrated World Anatomy Day 2025 on 31st October 2025 with an enlightening academic programme themed “Next-Generation Cadavers: A New Frontier in Anatomical and Surgical Education.” The event highlighted the evolution of anatomy and the crucial role of modern innovations in enhancing medical and surgical training.

The programme aligned with SDG 4 – Quality Education, emphasizing the institution’s commitment to fostering lifelong learning, academic excellence, and innovative teaching methodologies.

Event Proceedings

The celebration commenced with a soulful invocation song by Dr. Nagashree M. V., followed by a warm welcome address by Dr. Vanitha Naik. The dignitaries then lit the ceremonial lamp, marking the auspicious beginning of the event.

Dr. Suma M. P. delivered an insightful presentation on the History of Anatomy, tracing significant milestones in the evolution of anatomical science.

The programme was further enriched by addresses from esteemed academic leaders:
